Gwanwyn wedi cyrraedd! (13-01-2019)

Spring has arrived!

O IBERS i Bow St (30-01-2019)
Adeiladu llwybr newydd ar gyfer beicwyr a cherddwyr rhwng Bow Street ac IBERS.
Pan fydd y gwaith wedi ei gwblhau, bydd y rhan hon o’r llwybr yn darparu llwybr mwy diogel i gerddwyr a beicwyr rhwng Plas Gogerddan a phrosiect Trafnidiaeth Cymru yn Bow Street. Bydd hyn yn darparu cyfnewidfa a gorsaf reilffordd newydd yn Bow Street. Bwriedir i hyn agor yng Ngwanwyn 2020.
Bydd y Cyngor yn parhau i weithio mewn partneriaeth â Phrifysgol Aberystwyth ar gynigion Cam 2 er mwyn datblygu’r llwybr tuag at Benrhyncoch yn y flwyddyn ariannol nesaf.
From IBERS to Bow St (30-01-2019)
Construction of the new shared use path between Bow Street and IBERS.
Work has started on the construction of a new shared use path for cyclists and pedestrians between Bow Street and the Aberystwyth University IBERS campus at Plas Gogerddan. The work is being undertaken by a local contractor.
Once completed, this section of the path will provide a safer route for pedestrians and cyclists between Plas Gogerddan and the Transport for Wales project in Bow Street. This will provide a new public transport interchange and railway station at Bow Street and is scheduled to open in Spring 2020.
The council will continue to work in partnership with Aberystwyth University on the Phase 2 proposals to progress the shared use path towards Penrhyn-coch in the next financial year.

Y Ddôl Fach: Cyflwr yr heol (20-08-2019)

Ar Orffennaf 31ain, ym Mhenrhyn-coch, ymgasglodd trigolion Y Ddol Fach i gwrdd ag AS Ben Lake, Elin Jones AC a’r Cyng. Dai Mason i rannu eu teimladau am gyflwr presennol y ffordd fynediad gyhoeddus i’r ystâd dai. Mae cyflwr gwarthus yr heol wedi bod yn achos o anfodlonrwydd ymhlith y preswylwyr ers bron i 15 mlynedd, heb olwg o ddiwedd ar y gofid. Ymgasglodd y preswylwyr i glywed pa opsiynau cyfreithiol oedd ar gael iddynt er mwyn gorfodi’r datblygwr i wella cyflwr peryglus y ffordd a’r palmentydd, ac i glywed pa gamau oedd eisoes yn cael eu cymryd gan y cyngor. Daeth rhwystredigaethau preswylwyr i ben ar ôl anaf erchyll i ben-glin plentyn (12 oed) yn dilyn bagliad gas dros un o’r nifer o arwynebau anwastad peryglus, mae cyflwr affwysol y cyrbau a’r mannau troi wedi achosi tensiynau pellach rhwng cymdogion wrth i geir gael eu parcio mewn ardaloedd troi i osgoi difrod. Mae’r Ddol Fach nawr yn aros am benderfyniad i’r hyn a fu’n frwydr hir a blinedig am le diogel i fyw a chwarae

Y Ddôl Fach: State of the road (20-08-2019)
On July 31st, in Penrhyn-coch, the residents of Y Ddol Fach gathered to meet Ben Lake MP, Elin Jones AM and Cllr. Dai Mason to share their feelings about the current state of the public access road to the housing estate. The egregious condition of the road has been a cause of discontent among the habitants for nearly 15 years, seemingly with no end in sight. The residents gathered to hear what legal options were available to them in order to force the developer to improve the dangerous condition of the road and pavements, and to hear what action was already being undertaken by the council. Residents’ frustrations came to a head after a child (12 years old) sustained a horrific knee injury following a nasty trip over one of the many hazardous uneven surfaces, the abysmal condition of the kerbs and turning areas has caused further tensions between neighbours as cars are parked in shared areas to avoid damage. Y Ddol Fach now await a resolution to what has been a long and tiring fight for a safe place to live and play.

PATRASA (23-08-2019)
Yng Nghyfarfod Cyffredinol Blynyddol PATRASA (21 Awst) roedd pleidlais fwyafrifol gan aelodau’r pwyllgor a’r mynychwyr yn datgan y dylid rhoi’r gorau i’r brydles ar gyfer y cyrtiau tenis. Cynigir y byddem yn gweithio gyda’r clwb pêl-droed wrth iddynt gymryd yr ardal hon drosodd i ddarparu gofod chwaraeon cymunedol. Rhoddir y syniad i’r ymddiriedolwyr a’r gymuned cyn bod unrhyw beth yn bendant. Mwy o wybodaeth i ddilyn yngl^yn ag ymgynghoriad cyhoeddus.

At the PATRASA AGM (21st Aug) there was a majority vote by committee members and attendees that it should be put to the trustees and community that the lease for the tennis courts should be given up. It is proposed that we would work with the football club for them to take over this area to provide a community sports space. The idea will be put to the trustees and the community before anything is definite. More information to follow regarding public consultation.
